"In
the early morning hours of July 2002, our lives
were turned upside down. While on vacation
in North Carolina, we received a call around
6:00 am that lightning had struck our house and
the utility room and kitchen areas had
burned. On that morning, while the fire
was still burning, Chuck Dixon, a friend of
ours, went to our house to see what he could
do. Not only did he help our son during
this time he helped secure the house after the
fire was extinguished. Chuck was at our
house to meet us when we returned some 10-12
hours later. Chuck encouraged us that it
could be rebuilt and that it would be
fine. Almost immediately after the fire,
Chuck was giving us ideas about how the house
could be rebuilt and how it would look.
Chuck made the rebuilding process more
acceptable and easier to deal with because of
his attitude. We entrusted our home to
Chuck to be rebuilt. The quality of work
performed by Chuck Dixon Home Improvements, Inc.
and the various subcontractors was superb and above
any of our expectations.
The tragedy was turned into a bearable
experience thanks to Chuck Dixon and his company
and their outlook that the house could be
rebuilt to its original state or better.
